What You’ll Do?

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager (read Site Reliability Engineering Manager) to build and lead a team of talented DevOps Engineers and Support Engineers to build and support large scale systems. You will be the custodian of Availability, Scalability and Performance of all Kaleidofin products – software, machine learning and processes. You will:

  • Build performant, scalable, secure, enterprise ready back end architectures that can support millions of users in parallel.
  • Proactively look after the health of the Kaleidofin platform during business hours.
  • Coordinate together with engineering managers and teams to plan infrastructure roadmap and investments based on business priorities and scale.
  • Heavily orient towards software development and automation over manual operational work.
  • Provide Kaleidofin platform customers outstanding customer support.
  • Track and develop support triage and escalation workflows and ensure adequate team availability.
  • Train and track performance of top-talent senior SREs and Support Engineers.

Who You Need To Be?

  • 6+ years of experience in System engineering roles for a SaaS or e-commerce product.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (preferably computer science or sister branches) from a reputed institute (preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes).
  • Experience managing or leading an infrastructure, software development or a support team.
  • Prior working experience in setting up and debugging high performance systems, enabling you to contribute to technical discussions at a senior level.
  • Prior experience in hiring, training and leading a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with customers as well as internal teams (Engineering, Operations, etc) – communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
  • Experience should be from good product or e-commerce or software company.
  • Must have shown good stability in all your previous associations.

Skill set

  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies, UNIX shell, Databases, Tools, scripting
  • At least intermediate level Linux and networking knowledge and experience
  • Beneficial to have expertise in managing infrastructure for microservices, Docker, Kubernetes/orchestration platforms, Kafka/RabbitMQ/queueing platforms, GIT/code repository, Jenkins/build platforms, Artifactory, Redis/Memcache/caching platforms, Prometheus/Grafana/monitoring technologies etc.
  • Ability to plan roadmap and predict pricing and infrastructure investments.
